The MNAWWA Metro District Water Operator School will be held at the Earle Brown Heritage Center in Brooklyn Center April 2 - 4, 2019. The full conference is worth 16 contact hours. The registration fee is $255 before March 18; after March 18 and at the door the fee is $290. For those wishing to take the drinking water operator exam it will be given on Thursday, April 4 at 8:30 am. Please contact Noel Hansen at 651-201-4690 if you have questions regarding the exam.

The agenda is not complete at this time, but here is what we have so far:

Tuesday presentations include:  The Power of Focus; The State of Operator Education; Respect in the Workplace.

Wednesday presentations include:  guest speaker during breakfast, and then tours will be available to go to one of the following:  Minneapolis Water Plant in Fridley, Keys Well Drilling, and St. Paul Tunnel Tours.  The afternoon presentations include: Gopher State On-Call; Meter Technology and Customer Portal, Mobile Computing; Corrosion Inhibitors; and Well Pump Operation and Maintenance.

There will be an exam prep class available all day on Wednesday.  The instructors for the Class C and D Exam Prep will be Jeff Dale and Kurt Haakinson from MRWA.  There will also be a Study Hall available for the Class A and B exams.  We ask that you bring your own study materials for the Class A and B.  There will be people available to answer questions while you are studying.

Thursday we will have the Product Expo, Gimmicks and Gadgets, Hydrant Hysteria Demo; and Mini Sessions, and ending with lunch.

The Water Operator Exam will be given on Thursday morning starting at 8:30 am.  If you wish to take the exam you will need to complete the exam application and mail it along with the application fee to the address on the exam application.  If you have questions regarding the exam please contact Noel Hansen at 651-201-4690 or at noel.hansen@state.mn.us.
