The MNAWWA Southwest District Water Operator School will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the City of Mankato Intergovernmental Center in Mankato. Registration opens at 7:30 am with class starting at 8:00 am. The fee is $30.00 per person until August 20, after that date the fee is $35.00 per person. Class is worth six (6) contact hours. The presentations will be on PERA Benefits; Unidirectional Hydrant Flushing; Water System Evaluations; Using Today's Technology for Downsizing Meters; Minnesota Department of Health Update and Lead and Copper; Guatemala; Tank Maintenance: Considerations when taking a tank out of service; and Chemical Safety.

The Water Operator Certification Exam will be given at the Mankato Water Plant, 730 Mound Avenue, at 1:00 pm.  If you wish to take the exam you must complete the application form and submit that along with the $32.00 application fee to the Minnesota Department of Health by Monday, August 20, 2018.  If you have questions regarding the exam please contact Noel Hansen at 651-201-4690 or
