Professional Operators Development Course

The Professional Operator Development Course (POD) will be held on Tuesdays starting October 3, 2017. The cost for the course is $250. The class hours will be 7:30 am - 2:30 pm each Tuesday through November 28, 2017 (not held the week of Thanksgiving.) Keith Redmond will be the instructor. Coffee/snacks will be provided. Lunch is on your own. Parking is available at the Bloomington Civic Plaza parking lot across 98th Street. Parking is not allowed at the Bloomington Public Works building.

This is an 8-week course where each week the attendees will be given training materials and working assignments.  Some of the topics will be: General Math; Filtration; Lime Softening; Membrane & Ion Exchange; Disinfection; Regulations, Source Water, Water Quality, and Sampling.  Attendance will be taken at each session.  Six (6) contact hours will be given for each session attended.  Each student must bring with them to every session: a calculator (phone calculators not allowed), pen/pencils, and not paper.  The first round of materials will be handed out at the beginning of the first session.  The next round of materials will be given out upon the completion of each successive training session.  Students may be expected to complete course work before they return the following week.  Come prepared with questions and ready to participate in open conversations.
