Management School Committee
Purpose
To coordinate the Midwest Regional Water Utility Management Institute.
Action Items/Tasks
- Abandon the idea of an Advanced Institute based on lack of interest.
- Continue to work on creative ways to market the program, including:
- Working with AWWA to attract participants from our region;
- Making a concerted effort to get past graduates to attend for a second time.
- Make necessary financial commitments/concessions with University of Minnesota to drop the Institute price to $495 from the 2005 rate of $675.
- Take over brochure development and mailing costs ($1,500);
- Directly reimburse the University of Minnesota for presenter costs ($3,500).*
- 2006 will be the 25th anniversary of the Institute.
*25 students at $495 each is the break-even point for the University of Minnesota based on budget analysis. Any registrations over 25 would go directly to pay presenter costs. This scenario shares the risks of the reduced registration costs.
