of agenda for today’s meeting.

- Past
Action Items
- Host 3-4 facilities tours per year. Karla and Robyn will investigate
possible tours including a current well installation and the Minneapolis
membrane project. We decided that we would schedule 3 tours per year.
- Have a presence at the MN Section Conference
including a booth, posters, etc.
David Brown will lead effort.
Dave will contact John Berrigan about teaming with the
membership committee for a poster session at the Annual Conference.
- Create a YP Committee brochure including purpose
statement, goals, etc. Brian
Zinnel will lead effort. Brian
will research costs of producing 400-500 8-1/2x11 tri-fold
brochures. The brochures will
also be put into PDF form and placed on the website. A maximum of $300 will be allocated for
printing costs. Brian will
prepare a draft brochure for review by the YP committee.
- Chose a community service project. One project will be completed per
year. Possible projects include
math mentoring, Engineering Week, Future Cities Competition (7-8 graders),
Habitat for Humanity, Mississippi River cleanup, etc. The first project will be chosen at
an upcoming meeting.
- Host four social events per year plus the MN
Section Conference meet and greet for young professionals. Meet and greet will be held in the
evening at a small suite at the conference. Jason Janisch will lead effort. Dave Brown will contact Jason to discuss upcoming
socials.
- Draft a YP Committee purpose statement. David Brown and Doug Klamerus will
lead effort. Committee drafted
a rough purpose statement at the meeting. Doug Klamerus will write up a clean copy of purpose
statement and present at the next committee meeting for review.

Stew Thornley regarding getting YP information on the AWWA MN Section web
site.
- Schedule
Next MeetingYP. The next
meeting is scheduled for 7:00 a.m., Friday May 21, 2004 at Maria’s Café in
Minneapolis.
